Research Interests
Characterization of molecular mechanisms that control grass inflorescence development.
Studies on the grass ABCDE model of floral development with focus on outer whorls.
Discovery of molecular mechanisms determining novel photosynthetic pathways.
We investigate the molecular mechanisms that have created morphological, physiological and biochemistry novelties of plants during evolution. For that, we use the large and economically important, grass family as the model group. To develop our projects we integrate various methodologies from traditional to modern morphology and anatomy, combined with complex statistical and phylogenetic analysis and cutting edge technologies in molecular biology.
